Summary: At Macduff’s castle, Rosse visits Lady Macduff and her son, Lady Macduff demanding to know why her husband has fled. Rosse insists that she can trust her husband’s judgment and then he departs. Once he is gone, Lady Macduff tells her son that his father is dead, but the little boy perceptively argues that he is not.
